first BC Rich electric guitars was built in 1968, and it had a Fender
neck. The early guitars were mainly based on Gibson and Fender models,
and in 1969 BC Rich built 10 fancy Les Paul styled guitars and 10 EB
basses in mahogany. The first guinea BC Rich
electric guitars is considered to be the Seagull, which first appeared
in 1972 in both guitar and bass form, with a neck through body and a
heelless neck joint.
