In the medium price range you'll find a slew of Fender guitar models
the DG14S, DG-7, DG20CE, DG8 to name a few. The sound and quality of
these guitars is worthy of the fender namesake.
They sound and play just as well in general as the top of the line
makes such as Taylor and Martin. The differences that would up the price
of these models to that level are things such as solid rosewood sides
and backs, ebony fretboard etc.. however the difference in sound would
only be a matter of personal preference as the Fender guitar can hold
it's own against these other high end brands.
The action is quite good and playability of the Fender
acoustic guitar is high. The intonation on these guitars is quite
good and whether chording down low or with a capo the notes ring true.
The electronics while not full top of the line are still quite good
and when plugged in the guitar has a full sweet sound.
Recommendation: Unless you really need solid wood sides and back as
well as exotic wood fretboard you should find the fender an equal competitor
to the high end guitars at a reasonable price.
