The Martin D15 is constructed of solid mahogany except for the fingerboard
and bridge which are ebony. You wont' find any decorations on the Martin
D-15. It is purely simple in design with it's warm colored wood which
gives it it's beauty.
Playing the Martin
D15 one finds warm, bassy tone emmiting from the sound box. Using
the finger picking method brings out the full sound capability of this
guitar that using a pick does not. Solid well built guitar, it's a Martin.
With solid Mahogany top, back, and sides, it is no secret why the Marting
D-15 sound comes through clean and clear. East Indian Rosewood makes
up the bridge and fretboard, to give the guitar a great look as well
as sound. And the satin finish certainly doesn't diminish the looks!
